		The Way was first discussed as a possible long distance route in the 1960s as part of a vision for a lengthy series of routes along ancient trackways across southeast England.
		The Peddars Way bus operates seven days a week from Easter until the end of September, running from Thetford (with rail connections to Norwich, Cambridge and London) via Knettishall and numerous stops along the Way to Swaffham (with bus connection for King's Lynn and onward rail connections).

		The Peddars Way was originally built in 67AD by the Romans to speed up the transfer of troops from Colchester to Norfolk, the Romans were still at this point reeling from the hiding that Queen Boadicea gave them a few years earlier.
		Peddars way was open the cyclist and walkers in 1986 (by Prince Charles which is a bit of a coincidence as it goes right past Sandringham) although much of Peddars way is off limits to cycles.
		That's the thing about Peddars way, once you are on it and follow the markers and read the signs it's fairly easy to follow.

	Walk #572: Knettishall Heath to North Pickenham
		This was a very enjoyable walk along the southern stretch of the Peddars Way, and although the going was good and easy underfoot the scenery and views were not particularly great.
		The Peddars Way starts off at a place called Knettishall Heath to the east of Thetford, and this is literally in the middle of nowhere.
		The Peddars Way follows good tracks for the majority of the way, and navigation is almost farcically simple, as with all National Trails it is well waymarked, and there are not many turn-offs to get confused by.

	Cotswold Way
		I have not done the pennine way yet maybe two years time but i have done all of the pembrokeshire coast path and also going to do clevelandway next year im off this year to do hadrians wall.
		Done the Penine way and i agree with all its not the scenary that makes it but the atmosher and all the friends you make on the way evan though you will probably never meet again - Done the C2C and found it was ruined by the hype of Mr Wainwright overrating it.
		Please don't underestimate the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path.
