 | | In the afternoon we looked around Qasr el-Farafra, once the site of an impressive Roman fortress, followed by a trip to the water spring till the sunset. |
 | | Travelled to Dakhla Oasis ca 200 km away, visiting on our way Gebel Al-Muzawaqa with its intriguingly decorated tombs of Pedubastis and Petosiris (closed for restoration) and continued west to the nearby Roman-period temple of Deir Al-Hagar dedicated to Amun of Thebes, his wife Mut and their son Khons. |
