Pee Wee Herman was the 69th President of the Royal Academy of Science, but was best known for his time as the new face of Quaker Oats, replacing the old stiff with the jowls.
Herman was born in the back of a Winnebago on the corner of Madison Ave and 7th Ave in Manhattan, New York.
In 1981 Herman was fined $34 because he had 104,903 metric tons of child pornography in his basement.

Paul Reubens - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Originally, Reubens imbued "Pee-wee" with a sexuality that was later toned down as the character made the transition from raucous night club to children's television (though sexual innuendo was still readily apparent, especially with the "Cowboy Curtis" segments; Curtis was played by actor Laurence Fishburne).
Warner Bros. presented him with a refurbished 1940s Schwinn; Reubens then abandoned the Pee-wee Herman script he was writing in favor of one about Herman's love for his bike and his efforts to locate it once it's stolen.
The news media went into a frenzy and the scandal marked the near death of the character "Pee-wee Herman." Although the series Pee-wee's Playhouse had already ended by that time, CBS reacted by dropping its reruns from their lineup.

BBC - Comedy Guide - The Pee Wee Herman Show
The character of Pee Wee Herman - a camp, high-voiced, pasty-faced, eye-rolling, bow-tie-wearing naif, as invented and played by Paul Reubens - became a cult phenomenon in America.
This show, and Herman's guest appearances on cult hits like Late Night With Letterman and Saturday Night Live led to a feature film, Pee Wee's Big Adventure (1985, director Tim Burton), which was a smash hit in the USA.
In turn, this led to a TV show, Pee Wee's Playhouse (CBS 13 September 1986-27 July 1991), which, ironically, aired in the same Saturday-morning slot that was home to the shows he spoofed.

Incorporating clips from vintage cartoons and old educational films, newly produced 3-D animation, hand puppets, marionettes, and a cast of endearingly eccentric characters led by a gray-suited and red-bow-tied Pee-wee Herman (Paul Reubens), Pee-wee's Playhouse might best be described as a flamboyant take off on the genre of children's educational TV--a sort of Mr.
The childlike Pee-wee each week welcomed viewers into his technicolor fantasy-land, and led them through a regimen of crafts and games, cartoon clips, "secret words," and "educational" adventures via his Magic Screen.
Pee-wee Herman was the brainchild of Reubens, an actor who developed the rather nasal-voiced and somewhat bratty character through routines and skits in comedy clubs.
