The 1998 election returned a majority Labor government, as well as a sole Green member - Peg Putt - who had little chance of exercising any influence, but would offer bills into Parliament knowing they would in all likelihood be voted against by both Liberal and Labor parties.
The current Tasmanian Greens members of the Tasmanian House of Assembly are Peg Putt, Nick McKim, and Tim Morris.

Tasmanian legislative election, 2006 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Tasmanian Greens, led by Peg Putt, are certain of only two seats: they look likely to lose one seat to Labor and could possibly lose another to the Liberals.
Commentators said that fear of a minority government was a factor in the government's strong showing, which appears to have resulted from a swing to Labor in the last week of the campaign.
Greens leader Peg Putt said the Tasmanian election has been the grubbiest campaign the party has ever seen, and stated that everyone had targeted the Greens during the campaign.

Greens MHA Peg Putt who was a member of the six person committee which contained representatives from the three political parties in the Tasmanian Parliament and independents from the Legislative Council (upper house) is generally pleased with the Committee Report, which is a consensus document.
Ms Putt says that the avalanche of information supplied to the Committee led members to conclude that whilst Tasmania’s key markets were antagonistic to GE foods, or at the best lukewarm, a cautious approach to protect market share and our clean, green image by remaining GE free was the only sensible short term option.
In response to questions from Peg Putt, Minister Llewellyn states legal advice from the Solicitor General regarding the public release of GE crop trial locations is being considered.
