  OpenBSD/pegasos
After several months of hiatus, with the release of the Pegasos II pending, Dale Rahn was hired by Genesi to revive the port.
The bulk of the work on the pegasos port was performed by Dale Rahn, this work was terminated at the end of Feburary 2004 due to lack of payment on the part of Genesi.
However, the Pegasos II gigabit networking interface was not supported, documentation was never made available.

Since PowerPC is no longer supported by Ubuntu, other platforms must fix the support themselves.
Peter Czanik (czp) has released bootkernels for Ubuntu 7.10 for your Pegasos II and Efika.

As both maschines are not in a final state, developing linux for it is like the try to focus a moving target.
He is, afaik, responsible for "linux relations" and he is one of the debian - maintainer of the ppc - kernel (i guess).
The idea however is that future versions of Gentoo/PPC will be distributed with Pegasos support on the same CD as you would use on an Apple.

I can imagine that one Pegasos server is able to serve millions of pages per day.
The Pegasos server with its mirrored disk gave a nice standalone system and was exactly what we needed.
The Pegasos perfectly matched our requirements and is performance wise comparable to similar priced x86 servers.

 Pegasos-Chronicle
A TV report about the Pegasos and MorphOS at the computer-magazine "Neues" (3sat), scheduled for the end of the month, is cancelled after intervention of a competitor in the software market ("OS4").
The G4 CPU boards for the Pegasos, which were internally aimed to be produced at the end of january, are cancelled because of the Articia bugs, since they can't even get the G3 working right.
Adaptation of MontaVista 3.0 Professional to the Pegasos.

The good news with this release is that it is possible to install (out-of-the-box) on Pegasos with the DVD, preferably downloaded with bittorrent (and no, the CD doesn't work).

 Pegasos Report
In the case of my Minuet case, the cables of the front audio connectors are too short and they don't reach the internal audio connections of Pegasos II motherboard.
Pegasos II motherboard has just one internal USB motherboard, so I should divide the block in two 5x1 rows, but the cutter didn't work (^^;).
This tower is very convenient to assemble, but the front connectors are a bit "useless": the audio cables don't reach Pegasos II motherboard, and the USB cables form a 4x2 block that doesn't fit either...

In fact, the whole point of the Pegasos platform is for users to select the OS(es) that they want to run by buying only the motherboard & CPU and then adding supported hardware on top of it and literally building the system from scratch.
But hey, Pegasos is exotic in many ways and that compensates a bit.
MorphOS is an interesting little operating system, but it is too little to lead the "platform" idea all by its own.

The first successor to the Pegasos, Efika, a low-end motherboard based on a PowerPC system-on-a-chip intended for the embedded market, is sampling and will be available Real Soon Now(TM).
Just to complicate things, though, the AmigaOS 4 betas wouldn't run on Pegasos hardware; the only machine the new OS would run on, the AmigaOne, has been out of production for years, and its creators, small British manufacturer Eyetech, have sold off their remaining stock of Amiga bits to Leaman Computing and left the business.
Despite production of a patch chip, "April", the Pegasos I was quickly replaced by the Pegasos II with a different chipset.

 PegasosQuickStart - openSUSE
ODW machines (computers built around the Pegasos mainboard by Genesi) come with a couple of preinstalled Linuxes on a harddrive using the Amiga partition table.
Pegasos PPC does not need the extra boot partition mentioned here, so you can safely answer 'No' to this question.
Booting Pegasos from a CD is not the most convinient thing possible, so it's higly recommended to make SUSE Linux boot from the hard drive.
