encil sketching was a long time favorite medium for me, in fact it took me a long time to move on to pen.
The main reason I did was because I didn't like the way the pencil would fade after a short period of time and blur.
Color pencil was a lot better as far as not wiping off while you worked on the picture, but required a lot more patience and skill then regular pencil sketching.

The end of the pencil has a sponge tip for "blending", but it's an odd choice for lips and I've tried it one time and never again since it's not necessary and when I do require a lip blending tool, I prefer my pinkie or a lip brush.
I do love both the eye and lip pencils, but the sponge tip on the end is kind of sad and I'd sacrifice it to bring the price of the pencil down a buck or two.
The length of the Sketching pencils (both the eye and lip) is generous.
