		Pend Oreille County (pronounced [ˈpɑndəɹeɪ]) is a county located in the U.S. state of Washington.
		It is named after the Pend D'Oreille Indian tribe, whose name is French for "earring." As of 2000, the population is 11,732.
		In the county, the population is spread out with 26.30% under the age of 18, 5.50% from 18 to 24, 23.80% from 25 to 44, 29.50% from 45 to 64, and 14.90% who are 65 years of age or older.
