		Penistone is a market town located in the heart of the Pennines and has long standing traditions, the Annual Agricultural Show being one of them.
		The aims of Penistone Show are to provide an agricultural show, which promotes the countryside, agriculture and horticulture and associated interests.

		Barnsley never bought it, it was transferred to Barnsley in 1974 when Penistone became a part of Barnsley MBC.If BMBC no longer need it I would have thought it should be transferred back to Penistone free of charge.

		After a few years of absence it was good to be back at the Penistone Agricultural Show on 11 September.
		During the morning of the Show, the Band played, as usual, outside the Britannia Building Society, High Street, Penistone.
