  Floating-point - TinyMUX
In the not so distance past, all results were rounded to the 6th decimal place and the trailing zeros were removed.
PennMUSH provides float_precision to control the rounding position, but once chosen, it is fixed for the entire game.
The disadvantage is that these MUSH servers are unable to perform reasonable math below the 5th decimal place and the round-off errors of working close to the 6th decimal place are large.

In PennMUSH, the database is loaded entirely into memory while the game is running (text on objects and in mail messages is compressed), and a copy of the database is dumped onto disk periodically.
Typically for PennMUSH, you have 2 databases: the database from which the process was started (indb) and the database which the process is currently using/writing (outdb).
