 | | MIAMI, FL---Miami International Airport’s airlines have answered the call to assist the residents of the Caribbean nations, struck by the fury of Hurricanes Frances, Ivan and Jeanne. |
 | | Since these hurricanes did destructive damage to the island nations of Haiti, Grenada, Cayman Islands, The Bahamas, and Jamaica, Cayman Airways, Air Jamaica, Bahamasair, and British West Indies Airways have collected items to aid both airline staff and residents. |
 | | In addition, the Airline Management Council, a group of airline officials who meet monthly to discuss aviation-related issues, presented the Red Cross with a check in the amount $2,000 ($500 per hurricane) at their October 21 meeting. |
