I also mapped the entrance to Pentadactylos, which is invisible from a distance of a few yards.
During this period I had a good look at a hole above Pentadactylos Pot which appeared to be in the same rift and gave the prospect of extending the pot upwards by a couple of hundred feet.

The tip of the Troodos mountain range is a slice of a 90 million year old ocean crust, an ophiolite that formed 8 km below sea level.
