		Harris: Usually the first thing I do when I get the master tape is go to the end of the a cappellas, which is often where all the ad libs are.

		Recently in the LA Times (registration required), someone named Sam Harris has pronounced a fatwa against unfrozen caveman types who insist on pestering the rest of the world with the stories and mores of their nonexistent Bronze Age Palestinian sky god.
		Harris doesn't mention, interestingly enough, that the same penalties applied to guys who slept with their mothers, sisters and daughters, or Springer-bait women who do the same with male relatives.
		Harris' reasoning is grotesquely flawed, based as it is on our current levels of understanding and the philosophy of pain avoidance uber alles.

		Take guitarist Peppermint Harris, who in 1951 topped the R&B charts with his classic booze ode "I Got Loaded." Nobody expected a new Peppermint Harris CD in 1995, but Home Cooking producer Roy C. Ames coaxed one out of old Pep for Collectables nonetheless.
		Harris moved over to Eddie Mesner's Aladdin Records in 1951, cutting far tighter sides for the firm in Los Angeles (often with the ubiquitous Maxwell Davis serving as bandleader and saxist).
		Later, Harris worked various day jobs around Houston, including one at a record pressing plant, before moving to Sacramento, CA, and then to New Jersey to be with his daughter.

		The switch from piano to second guitar lends a different sound to the song, with the guitar and sax matching note for note between solos.

		Snooks Eaglin's "Call Everybody Sweetheart" covers the New Orleans base, while "Flappin'," a collaboration between Junior and Barron, fairly oozes grease, Mr.
		Woo Woo Moore's stop-time "Something's Wrong" is ideally suited to Junior's vocal limitations, and "It's You" (a Peppermint Harris composition) is slow and soulful.
		Junior's own "Spring Roll" has a jazzy feel (one would guess Junior's spent a great deal of time studying masters like Tiny Grimes), and Amos Milburn's "House Party" is righteously raucous.
