Actually Pepsi started off with red script, then in support of the American war effort they changed the colors to red, white, and blue.
Pepsi Blue was not introduced because of Cherry Coke, Cherry Coke was introduced in 1985, Pepsi Blue in 2002.
Now the Vanilla thing looks to be a copy, but the rest is just the workings of business, not copying from Coca~Cola at all.

Pepsi Vanilla advertises itself as the Not-So-Vanilla Vanilla, which is true.
I find it odd that in the Pepsi Vanilla ad it openly mocks Coke and shows their logo and such.
The after taste for Vanilla Coke was awful, and it tasted even worse when warm at all.

It has a much lighter vanilla taste so it is not over powering but still a little to much vanilla for my taste.
Pepsi Vanilla has a stronger vanilla flavor over Vanilla Coke and as a result makes you feel like your actually tasting the Vanilla.
They succeeded, vanilla coke is currently my favorite soft drink, and pepsi vanilla tastes like crap.

take it from the "evil" version of towelie, that vanilla pepsi and vanilla coke are both delicous, but i always prefer pepsi.
vanilla pepsi leaves a wierd aftertaste in your mouth, and pepsi is also more carbonated, so the drink doesnt go down as smooth.
Since pepsi is sweeter than coke, it tastes like a vanilla coke without the coke bite.

Pepsi (which when you really look at it, is a stoopid name) originally downplayed the vanilla sub-segment when Vanilla Coke was launched.
The New York Post did a taste test in which Pepsi Vanilla won by a tiny bit.
Coca Cola is at the top of their game, innovating the soda industry and Pepsi is crawling up behind them, ripping off every idea and pretending that people actually like Pepsi (sorry John, I'm just real mad).

Pepsi Vanilla was not among them, but surprisingly enough, the U.S. Department of Agriculture found that vinegar is an effective organic weed killer.
The point is that there is no reason for Pepsi Vanilla to be exiled to the gardening section when loyal fans are trying to find and consume it.
I suppose in comparison to disasters such as war, famine, destruction and the continuance of Mountain Dew Livewire, the placement of Pepsi Vanilla in a retail store is of little importance.

I guess Pepsi tried to be original because they also added "twist" to the original non-diet Pepsi, Coke did not.
DIET pepsi vanilla is almost undrinkable, and I literally drink a 6 pack or more of diet pepsi per day.
Pepsi Vanilla isn't going to draw any new drinkers from Coke's side, even if it is a better vanilla cola than Coke's.

Pepsi Vanilla hit the DC area store shelves in the past two weeks.
I felt that the vanilla seemed to overpower the crisp taste of Pepsi.
Overall, my impressions are that Pepsi tried to carry on their new "bold and young" image and philosophy, and implement it in this drink.

When I first starting seeing the commercials for Pepsi Vanilla, I was equally as excited.
I thought it would be a rebirth in vanilla madness for me -- a replacement of my beloved Vanilla Coke, which I still consume in decent quantities today and live to tell about...
This is the same company that came out with Wild Cherry Pepsi far after cherries were in their prime, and the same company that invented Pepsi Blue around a year ago, an appropriate name because it caused consumers to feel exactly that.
