Martha Angle Dorsett 1851-1918: The first female lawyer in Minnesota, Dorsett was born in Randolph, N.Y. She graduated from Iowa College of Law, the first public university in the United States to admit men and women on an equal basis, and was admitted to the Iowa bar in 1876.
Lord was Minnesota's attorney general from 1955 to 1960 and a U.S. Attorney from 1961 until his appointment to the Federal U.S. District Court by President Lyndon Johnson in 1966.
Sheran graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1939 and served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1947 to 1951 as a conservative from Blue Earth County.

 Minnesota Territorial Pioneers
Moses K. Armstrong, was born Sept. 20, 1832, in Milan, Ohio, and emigrated to Minnesota territory in 1855.
In the spring of 1862, when the Fifth Minnesota regiment was being formed at Fort Snelling, Enoch, with two of his young friends, presented himself as ready to engage in military service, but was rejected on account of his extreme youth and frail body.
With his mother and two sisters, they moved to Minnesota in 1856, when George was about nine or ten years old, and resided in Winona until the fall of 1857, when they moved to Taylors Falls; they lived here and in St. Croix Falls until 1862, when they removed to St. Paul.

In 1861, James Bryant enlisted in the, First Minnesota Volunteer infantry; he was wounded in the battle of Gettysburg in 1863, and in July, 1865, was honorably discharged.
In 1857 he located at Lake City, Minnesota, employed in manufacture of sash, doors, blinds, etc. Meeting with reverses, caused by the panic of 1857, he was made destitute and through the winter of 1857-1858 he subsisted principally on corn meal and molasses.

Various land records refer to Barnabas' holdings as either Percy or Seymour Twp., but the Brunsons themselves knew their home as Cramahe or "Crammie" in Newcastle District, Upper Canada, although by 1870 their official postal address was Warkworth, Ontario.
When a List of Inhabitants of the Township of Percy was compiled in 1804, there was one female over 16 (presumably his wife), one male under 16 (possibly Barnabas) and one female under 16.
In the 1822 Census of Percy Twp., Newcastle District, the spouse of Orimiaris (sic) Brunson is recorded as "Dorus" and in then in the 1851 Census, we find three Brunson women living together in Cramahe Twp: Dorcas,76; Elizabeth; 50 and Dorcas, 42, all presumably relicts of Orsemus.
