	Pereyaslavets - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Pereyaslavets (Переяславец; East Slavic from) or Preslavets (Преславец; Bulgarian form) was a trade city located at the mouth of the Danube.
		A thriving trade centre of the First Bulgarian Empire, it became the capital city of Kievan Rus from 969 until Prince Svyatoslav's death in 972 during Svyatoslav's invasion of the Bulgarian Empire.
		Excavations have identified Pereyaslavets with the village of Nufăru, Romania (named Prislava until 1968), on the St. George branch of the Danube, just a few km away from Tulcea.

		The head of the group of sculptors who are constructing the monument, Mikhail Pereyaslavets, was quoted by the agency as saying this will be a monument to the soldiers of four states of the anti-Hitler coalition — the Soviet Union, the United States, the United Kingdom and France.
		However, it was also reported that monuments to Stalin would appear in the Belgorod region, in Central Russia, and in the Crimea, Ukraine.
