Quezon is a province of the Philippines located in the CALABARZON region in Luzon.
Quezon City is not located in and should not be confused with Quezon province: Quezon City is located in Metro Manila, a region to the west of CALABARZON, while Quezon province is in eastern CALABARZON.
Quezon is located southeast of Metro Manila and it is surrounded by the provinces of Aurora to the north, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna and Batangas to the west and the Camarines provinces to the east.

GUMACA, Quezon – Knowing Quezon province as being the longest in the country in terms of its geographical structure will soon be over, when the House committee on local government has approved in principles the proposed division of the province into two separate units as embodied in House Bill No. 702.
Quezon Reps. Wigberto Tañada (4st District) and Rafael Nantes (1st District), the principals authors of the bill, both expressed optimism that the plebiscite will be called by the Commission on Election to coincide in the next year poll.
Nantes pointed out that Quezon is now the only province in the country having 40 municipalities and one city under its jurisdiction, which he said had resulted to the under development of towns in the far-flung areas.

After graduating from the Ateneo de Manila Law School in 1961, Perez started teaching law at the Ateneo, the University of the East, and the University of Batangas, which is owned by his family and that of former Batangas Governor Vicente Mayo.
Perez has publicly admitted that he had served in the early 1990s as chair of Belle Corp., a fact that had been known to the prosecution panel even during Estrada's impeachment trial at the Senate.
Perez's SAL did not specify the peso value of his stockholdings in Belle but merely stated that his shares in 14 companies, including Belle, amount to P19.2 million, or 80 percent of his other assets worth P23.7 million as of this year, apart from P16.7 million in land and real estate that he also owns.

LUCENA CITY, Quezon, Philippines -- Village officials in Barangay Malicboy in Pagbilao town have discovered a new illegal logging area — right inside the Quezon National Park.
Lawyer Asis Perez, director of Tanggol Kalikasan-Southern Tagalog, an environmental legal defense center, said the village officials went to his office Monday morning and reported to him their discovery.
Perez said they also suspected that "volunteer flagmen" manning the zigzag road even in the dead of night were also involved as lookouts.
