Perry County is a county located in the U.S. state of Arkansas.
The county was formed on December 18, 1840 and named for Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, naval hero in the War of 1812.
About 10.50% of families and 14.00% of the population were below the poverty line, including 17.00% of those under age 18 and 15.00% of those age 65 or over.
