Ohio EPA is granting a request from the Wood County Health Department to cease monitoring for methane gas at the former Perrysburg Municipal Dump on Lime City Road in Perrysburg Township.
Ohio EPA will hold a public information session on Tuesday, December 10, 1996, to discuss the proposed expansion of the Suburban South Recycling and Disposal Facility, located south of Township Road 447 and east of State Route 668 in Perry County.
Ohio EPA has granted an exemption to Foundry Services, Inc. (FSI) from the requirement to obtain a permit prior to beginning construction activities on the company's proposed Class III residual waste landfill, which would be located off of Route 650 in Upper Township, Lawrence County.

Moved from Butler County, Pennsylvania where Thomas & Elizabeth built the first log cabin in the area and owned many acres of land that included the land on which the city of Buttler was built.

Rubbermaid's Home Products division, based in Wooster, Ohio has located a new facility in Perry Township that will add 250 new jobs and will create more than $8 millon in new payroll to the Stark County area.
As the result of the decision by Rubbermaid to locate in the former Graco former facility, the company will invest over $8 million dollars to renovate the building and purchase new machinery and equipment to start up the new operation.
Assisting Rubbermaid in this decision were Perry Township officials; the Ohio Department of Development and Stark Development Board.
