The Perse School is a fee-paying secondary day school for boys 11–18 and girls at 16+ situated in Cambridge, England.
The school was founded in 1615 by Dr Stephen Perse, a fellow of Gonville and Caius College, and has existed on several different sites in the city before its present home on Hills Road.
The school prides itself on academic achievement and regularly maintains a very good position in the league table of independent schools, both at GCSE and A-level.

The Main Gallery of the Museum is the original hall of the Perse School, founded as a bequest by Stephen Perse a fellow of Caius College.
During the early 19th century the school was neglected by the trustees and lost pupils to such an extent that the Fitzwilliam collection could be housed in the Perse Hall from 1816 until 1842 when the Fitzwilliam Museum was opened.

Perse has also been given permission to build a new art and technology block at the upper school and a new hall, sports centre and music facilities at the prep school at a later date.
The expansion will make it possible for Perse to press ahead with its plans to admit girls to the prep-school from September 2008 and in Years 7 and 9 of the upper school from September 2010.
Building work is now expected to start at the prep school in early 2007 and at the upper school in early 2009, so the project will be completed before the female pupils arrive.

 King's Junior School - Junior School Football
The school are notoriously strong opponents; some local teams prefer not to play them due to their excellent reputation.
The game against The Perse is always a difficult encounter, as the effects of a combination of factors begin to take effect … the competitive action, travelling, late nights (?), games of bowling, swimming, the consumption of so many burgers, sweets, cans of coke (and that's just the staff!) begin to take their toll.
Bury Grammar School was the competition on the day, and given their prior victory against us in a friendly, were considered the favourites for the cup, although we were determined to fight the odds.
