Persian Cookins: New Food for Life
Just before sunset, when he enters the room in the bride's home where the ceremony will be held, what he sees first should be the face of his wife-to-be, reflected in the mirror.
In recent years, the Persian communities abroad have changed and adopted the life-styles of their host countries.
The Persian marriage ceremony, however, is so old and can be such a beautiful ceremony that it would be a shame not to enact it.

At the battle, the Persians lost 6,400 men and seven of their ships were captured, and from the Athenian side, 192 men were killed, among them the polemarch Kallimachos and Stesilaos, one of the ten generals.
It was from the Persian loot that Pheidias constructed the chryselephantine statue of goddess Athena.
Persians also landed troops in the small island of Psitallia, that lies in the mouth of the straits, opposite Kynosoura of Salamis.

Anyway, the fact is that in both Afghanistan and Tajikistan, the language used to be officially called "Persian" and in both countries, the official name of the language was chagned by introducing a bill in their parliament, and taking votes.
In contemporary America, "Persian" is often assumed to be an incorrect label stemming from Orientalism instead of the favored term that it actually is. I try to use "Persian," but sometimes I slip.
From the article Persian grammar, I saw that the prefix "be" conveys the subjunctive meaning.

Persian Poetry and Shahnameh Books - Sunset of Empire: Stories from the Shahnameh of Ferdowsi: Volume III
Breathtaking miniatures from the finest Persian Shahnameh manuscripts of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, many of them published here for the first time, heighten the emotional impact of the text.
During Ferdowsi's lifetime this dynasty was conquered by the Ghaznavid Turks, and there are various stories in medieval texts describing the lack of interest shown by the new ruler of Khorasan, Mahmud of Ghazni, in Ferdowsi and his lifework.
His translations from Persian include the Shahnameh: The Persian Book of Kings (Mage 1998-2004; Viking 2006; Penguin Classics, 2007), Borrowed Ware (Mage, 1997), My Uncle Napoleon (Mage, 1996), The Legend of Seyavash(Mage 2004) and with Afkham Darbandi, The Conference of the Birds (Penguin Classics, 1984).

Summary of and commentary on Herodotus' Histories, book 8
For the Persians at Aphetae, it is a bad night, but for the squadron sailing around Euboea it is a disaster: the ships are smashed against the rocks and many sailors drown in the sea, which is known as the 'hollows' of Euboea.
Herodotus' story can not be believed: for example, he quotes Persian witnesses of the avalange, which suggests thorough investigation, but at the same time, he is unable to mention the name of the Persian commander (probably Megabyzus).
Moreover, the Persians venerated Apollo (they considered him identical to their own supreme god Ahuramazda) and would never have destroyed one of his temples.
