| | Bunnie Diehl: If you don't like it, just go away: Personal Relationship |
 | | Through the years, "personal relationship" came to mean, I am in the Word, I meditate on it, I pray, I listen, God speaks back to me, I obey him, I have trialsbut Ialso have Victory. |
 | | personal relationship is the fact that my relationship with Christ is now based not on my experience as a result of private reading, prayer and meditation on his Word, but on the objective, historical fact that my sins are forgiven... |
 | | Rob, what you call "personal relationship" (knowing that God is *my* Father because Jesus died for *my* sins) has historically been called "true faith," while the mere intellectual knowledge of doctrinal facts apart from trust is "false faith." I think those terms are a little more helpful (and biblical) than "relationship" terminology. |
