Field Marshal Peter Anthony Inge, Baron Inge, KG, GCB, PC, DL (born 5 August 1935) was the Chief of the General Staff, the professional head of the British Army, between 1992 and 1994.
He was a member of the Butler Inquiry team, chaired by Robin Butler, Baron Butler of Brockwell, that determined that the intelligence used to declare Iraq's possession of "Weapons of Mass Destruction" was flawed.
Peter Inge was commissioned into the Green Howards from Sandhurst in 1956.

Commissioned by the Regiment to mark Lord Inge’s long association with the Green Howards, the full-length picture was unveiled at a reception at the Museum on Friday 7 May. It shows him in his robes as Knight of the Garter, standing in St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
June Mendoza, one of the UK’s leading portrait painters, has now painted Lord Inge three times – in a group portrait at a dinner for the Sultan of Oman; for a private commission, with Lord Inge as a Knight of the Bath; and this new portrait.
Brigadier John Powell, Colonel of the Regiment, said, ‘The Regiment is delighted that Peter Inge’s portrait will hang in the Green Howards Regimental Museum, alongside those of so many of his distinguished predecessors.

In this 8 February 1896 letter, Anthony notifies Johnson of her wish for these busts to be purchased by Congress for installation in the new Library of Congress building, which would open to the public in November 1897.
Although the sculpture stands in the United States Capitol, Anthony during her lifetime had opposed placing a women's monument there, arguing instead for a setting more hospitable to women's rights.
