Coffee's first order of business is to explain how to turn the machine on and off--a procedure that can be quite intimidating to the uninitiated.
Coffee then instructs the reader on the critical software conventions of Microsoft Windows applications.

ON HAHNEMANN'S COFFEE THEORY - Peter Morrell
He even goes as far as to say (in his essay of 1803) that children and babies accumulate the ill-effects of coffee from their parents and from being in the same rooms as coffee drinkers.
I think the Coffee theory is a good example both of Hahnemann's superior mental powers and of his occasional tendency to make up a grand theory from scant evidence.
The two work antagonistically and thus coffee in the last analysis - imho - has to be regarded as harmful to the overall and long-term health of the patient (whether it neutralises the action of their remedies or not), while psoric remedies and homeopathy in general are good for the patient.

 portafilter.net: Tegu, Talus, and Umami
Fortunately for coffee lovers in Portland, Chicago, and North Carolina, this lot is owned jointly by you-know-who, you-know-who and you-know-who.
The coffee is an absolute punch-in-the-face of raspberry, flcurrant, fl pepper, cognac, port wine, mascarpone cheese, and top sirloin.
The fact that umami seems to be especially present in coffee being degassed seems to imply that it has to do with some of the other chemical reactions related to coffee.

Financial Cryptography: Peter Coffee on how to lose a security debate
Peter Coffee has written an article, "Report Takes Software Processes to Task [2]," that starts with "I feel as if I could get an entire year's worth of columns, or perhaps even build my next career, out of the material in a Task Force Report[3]..." Promising stuff !...
He then goes on to draw a couple of reasonable points from the report (how unprofessional security professionals are..., how security is multi-disciplinary...[4]) and then ruins his promising start by launching an ad hominem attack.
And, Mr Coffee definitely missed that doing the ad hominem thing signalled that someone was upset at their pork being spiked.

I read most of this eWeek article the other day and think that Peter Coffee is way too biased.
I must say that Peter writes on a broad range of topics from SOX to hardware and some of it's very interesting.
I would just ask Peter to stay off of the Microsoft bashing and avoid the word bandwagon because it's not, it's a choice.
