Green was a founding member of Fleetwood Mac, bowing out before the band cracked America.
Green had linked up with Mick Fleetwood and John McVie in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, where his reputation was spawned as one of the key British blues guitarists, along with the likes of Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck.
Green also did most of the singing, but his voice was missing in action on this night and, with one or two exceptions, the songs were better for being sung by Watson.

The current touring Peter Green and Splinter Group show features a two or three song segment of Robert Johnson material which is one of the highlights, the songs rendered in rootsy delta blues style.
