Adding Ivany's 11.2%, Packer's Consolidated Press Holdings is now the dominant investor with about 41.4% of the company.
Ivany will continue as CEO pending settlement of Packer's takeover bid -- CPH's enhanced offer of $A2.05 ($1.35) per share is on the table until Monday -- but one source told Daily Variety, "He has not decided" whether he wants to remain at the helmhelm.

Peter Ivany informed the Hoyts board that he intendedto accept CPH's A$2.05 per share offer forshares he had an interest in, representing about 11.2 percentof the company.
Hoyts shares have traded as high as A$2.30 since the bid wasmade on March 24, but closed unchanged Wednesday at A$2.05 onturnover of 3.235 million.
Ivany said he intended to accept the CPH offer inrespect of shares he personally held and those held through NullaNulla 2000 Ltd.

The idea of staying in a luxury backpacker hostel seems to go against the purpose of cheap travel, but businessman Peter Ivany and hotel operator Accor say the Base Backpacker Group will change any such old notion.
The group, run by Mr Ivany, who ran Hoyts Cinemas for 11 years after it was taken over by Kerry Packer, has also bought the building next door, at 469 Kent Street, and will convert it into additional ensuite guest rooms and a ground floor restaurant and bar.
Mr Ivany says the Wanderers rates are $25 per night.
