  Peter Kjaerulff
Peter Kjaerulff is the author of 'The Ringbearer's Diary' (in danish 'Ringbærerens Dagbog').
Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings' and Richard Wagner's 'The Ring of the Nibelung'- a ring of self-reinforcing but destructive ideas that through ages has haunted humanity, causing untold pain and suffering.
By revealing this ring, Kjaerulff opens the door to a deep and thorough understanding of what a human being really is. Along the way, the Great Pyramid of Giza becomes understandable and logical - reincarnation becomes understandable - and the so called chakras are described.

Sméagol (pronounced smay-a-gol, not smee-gol as in Peter Jackson's film version) murdered his cousin Déagol, stole the Ring, and was changed by the Ring's influence over many years into the unpleasant creature known as Gollum.
As is told in The Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins found the Ring while he was lost in the caverns of the Misty Mountains, near Gollum's lair and found it useful in his quest.
A recent interpretation by Danish author Peter Kjaerulff is, that the Ring symbolizes The Cursed Ring, a device described by both Plato, Wagner and Tolkien.

One Ring - The Lord of the Rings Wiki - A Wikia wiki
In Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings movie trilogy, the wearer of the Ring is always portrayed as moving to a shadowy realm where everything is distorted.
Neither Bilbo Baggins nor Frodo Baggins ever mentioned anything about this while using the ring, but when Sam puts on the ring at the end of The Two Towers he does experience something similar to this.
A recent interpretation by Danish author Peter Kjaerulff is that the Ring symbolises The Cursed Ring, a device described by both Plato in his Republic (the Ring of Gyges), and in Richard Wagner's Ring operas, besides Tolkien.

Originally published in 1985, the book describes the supposed reality behind J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings and Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen - a ring of self-reinforcing but destructive ideas that through ages has haunted humanity, causing untold pain and suffering.
Peter Kjaerulff names this ring 'The Cursed Ring'.

The enigmatic Tom Bombadil was unaffected by the Ring, or rather, the Ring had no effect on him.
(See the article on Tom Bombadil, which includes some theories.) In Peter Jacksons movie trilogy, the wearer of the Ring is portrayed as moving to a shadowy realm where everything is distorted, but this cannot have been Tolkiens intention, or Bilbo Baggins or Frodo Baggins would surely have reported it.
Among them are atomic energy and the atomic bomb, which would both be anachronistic, as the Ring was invented in the late 1930s, and the atom bomb did not become public knowledge until 1945.

Der Ring des Nibelungen   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-09-17)
Peter Kjaerulff, in The Ringbearers Diary, interprets the Ring as an attempt to expose a structure of ideas he refers to as The Cursed Ring, which he also links to J. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings and Plato's The Ring of Gyges.
Wagner was unsatisfied with the traditional structure of an opera as a series of distinct songs.
The production by Peter Hall, conducted by Georg Solti at Bayreuth in 1983 is an example of the former, while the production by Richard Jones at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in 1994 - 1996, conducted by Bernard Haitink, is an example of the latter.

Some people in New Age also claim that other chakras, besides the above, exist andmdash; for instance, ear chakras.
The Danish author and musician Peter Kjaerulff in his book, The Ringbearers Diary, describes the chakras in great detail, including the reasons for their appearance and their exact functions.
Shortly put, the seven chakras are said to reflect how the unified consciousness of man (the immortal human being or the soul), is divided to manage different aspects of earthly life (body/instinct/vital energy/deeper emotions/communication/having an overview of life/contact to God).
