Sandra Salisbury was born and raised in Arlington, Virginia and worked and studied in several parts of the country before moving to New York City in 1977.

With little fanfare, McCabe through his work with the band, became one of the most unique and innovative guitarists of the last twenty years, having the unique ability to be experimental while still being musical (something even Hendrix didn't always do).
Armed with a very complimentary rhythm section of drummer Peter Salisbury and bassist Simon Jones, McCabe creates spacy, atmospheric pieces ("Beautiful Mind"), as well as full-on distored jams ("Blue"), and, at his best, is able to combine the two ("The Sun, The Sea").
With former Verve drummer Peter Salisbury and pedal steel guitarist B.J. Cole (who filled in on the ill-fated '98 summer tour), Ashcroft created a lush, thick sound full of layed guitars and some very nice string arrangements.
