  Peter Whitehead - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Peter Whitehead (born in Menston, Ilkley, Yorkshire, November 12, 1914 - died in Lasalle, Nimes, France, September 21, 1958) was a Formula One driver from England.
In addition to his Formula One career he shared victory in the Le Mans 24 hour race with Peter Walker in 1951, racing for Jaguar.
A couple of months later Peter was killed and Graham injured, when they were competing together in the Tour de France, as their Jaguar crashed off a bridge into a ravine at Lasalle, with Graham at the wheel.
