I started watching Peterborough Pirates in 1984 and have been an avid follower from the first game I went to see against Solihull Barons, Pirates lost, but I was won, and in my first season we went on to gain promotion to the top flight.
Pirates suffered an up and down history including the ice rink shutting in 1993, when many fans all got together and rebuilt the rink.
The Pirates history finally came to an end after 20 years of pro hockey when they folded after the 2002 season.
