Petrotrin, a fully owned state oil-gas producer and trader, has applied to have the notes listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange for trading on the Euro MTF market, a unit of the Luxembourg exchange.
Petrotrin which currently produces 160,000 barrels of oil per day and also LPG and propane is a solid company, says George.
Petrotrin, a TT$19 billion (US$3 billion) company measured by its assets, last year recorded average daily volumes of 142.45 mmcf of natural gas - a slight upturn on the year prior's 140.13 mmcf; and 70.71 mmcf of LNG, which dropped from 83.11 mmcf in 2005.

Petrotrin also suffered a loss of 8,000 barrels a day of crude oil production when it decided last May to shut down eight platforms in the twin-island Caribbean nation for "structural integrity concerns." The shutdown followed the death of a contract worker when a gas pipeline ruptured during maintenance operations.
Petrotrin spokesman Arnold Corneal said repairs were almost complete on the platforms and the company plans to bring them back into operation on a staggered basis by the end of April.
Petrotrin operates in land and marine acreage across the southern half of Trinidad with offshore operations at Galota in the southeast and in the Gulf of Paria.

Trinidad and Tobago's state-owned oil company Petrotrin said today that an "illegal industrial action" by its employees had not resulted in shortages and it would be able to satisfy all contractual commitments.
