Phagwah celebrations in Albouystown were saddened yesterday afternoon by the shooting of a 27-year-old woman by the irate passenger of a car which was soaked with water.
Recounting the incident, the woman said that she was sitting on the side of the road in James Street while several children and residents were celebrating Phagwah by throwing water on persons and passing vehicles.
The four were in Carter's boat when it encountered rough seas on Thursday night and sank after the propeller became entangled in a fishing net.
