The Honourable Philip Bruce Goff (born 22 June 1953), generally known as Phil Goff, is the current Minister of Defence of New Zealand.
In the 1981 elections, Goff stood for Parliament in the Roskill electorate, and was elected.
Goff was appointed to a position at the Auckland Institute of Technology, and later accepted a scholarship to study for six months at Oxford University, but eventually decided to stand for parliament once again.

Justice Minister Phil Goff is ruling out Parliament's revisiting of the drinking age in the near future, as police prepare to step up action against under-age boozing.
Mr Goff said he would meet representatives of the main supermarkets, grocery stores and liquor outlets with Police Minister George Hawkins on Monday, when they would outline plans for police to carry out more stings, after a recent survey found more than 60 per cent of retailers sold alcohol to young people without checking identification.
But Mr Goff said the evidence collected so far was "not at the point yet" where it could be shown to be for or against a lower drinking age.
