Trollaxor > Phil Schiller: Under Review   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-12)
For the last time, Phil Schiller had embarrassed Steve and his pantheon of ex-NeXT, Inc. executives at a board meeting in a series of "rotten Apple" (Steve's phrase for Apple's 1985-1996 era) antics that had caused stock to drop more than three dollars at the close of that day.
Phil clawed at his knees, unable to believe the mass of unchecked ego in front of him.
Phil bit his upper lip with his lower teeth and looked at the ground, tapping his fingers on the arm of his chair.

Schiller: Our strategy has been to build on open standards -- and sometimes, where they don't exist, help to create those open standards -- and on top of that to innovate and differentiate faster than we have in a long, long time.
As Phil said, our philosophy is [to] use an open standard and find a way to add value to that.
Schiller: We don't want to say, "Here's the percent market share we want of the enterprise." We're not being that head on [in] attacking that market.
