Columns: Bill McBride is getting into the campaign swing
McBride went on to say the state's revenue sources are sufficient to meet Florida's needs and that McKay is on "the right track" by proposing that the state's sales tax should be applied fairly and equitably.
As McBride travels the state warning that Florida's future is at risk, he will have to be careful not to come across as a business-as-usual Democrat who wants to return the state to the pre-Bush status quo in education and other areas.
McBride is passionate on the need for the state to invest more in public education, almost to the point of sounding as if money is the whole of his education agenda.

SF News - Sept. 23, 1999 - McBride has software solution   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-06)
McBride spent five months at Fletcher Challenge Canada, where he used an organizational development technique called mental mapping to analyze individual employees' views of their job tasks and goals and then used that information to identify subcultures within the company with the same maps.
McBride, a native of Burlington, Ont., has now moved to Toronto where he will continue to pursue his work with mental mapping, this time as a project manager for Procter and Gamble Inc., which has also recently purchased a large-scale SAP software system.
McBride says his experience as a volunteer resumé counsellor at SFU's employment centre, coupled with eight months running a human resources centre for students in Mississauga, was also helpful in landing the plum job.

Cool Animals - HeraldTimesOnline.com   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-06)
Philip and his wife Martha raise and breed rare animals on their Orleans farm.
Philip’s hope was to make money by selling the buffalo offspring, and, over the years, he expanded to beefalo (a cross between buffalo) and domestic or exotic cattle of any breed), mustangs, llamas and camels.
While there’s not a whole lot McBride can do to protect the larger animals from the cold, he keeps water for them in heated water fountains and leaves out extra feed and protein blocks.

 Heads Up: Joe McBride
McBride has established himself as one of the genre’s most popular artists with his label releases Grace (1992), A Gift for Tomorrow (1994), Keys to Your Heart (1996) and Double Take (1998), the latter of which featured top smooth jazz all-stars Dave Koz, Peter White, Rick Braun, Richard Elliot and Larry Carlton.
McBride, a St. Louis native who trekked to the sunny shores of San Diego for a while before finishing his musical studies at North Texas State and making Texas his home, believes the central location of Dallas allows for many different genres of music to influence its jazz and blues scene.
It was that combination of great musicianship and good, kindly people that convinced McBride to stay in Dallas after graduating from NTS, where he first met Dave Love, a trumpeter who later founded Heads Up International.

Tucson Weekly: Here Comes McBride (October 28 - November 3, 1999)
On the original composition, "Theme from Our Fairytale," McBride's electric bass playing is reminiscent of fretless bass masters Alphonso Johnson, Jaco Pastorious and Victor Bailey, all members at one time of the jazz-fusion group Weather Report, and coincidentally, all from Philadelphia.
On his current tour, McBride's new lineup includes Ron Blake on tenor and soprano saxes, Shedric Mitchell on piano and keyboards, and Rodney Green on drums.
On this tour, McBride foresees the electric material being used more as "decor," but for their performance here on Halloween night, he concedes, "No doubt I'll do the Goodfoot dance," referring to his moving tribute to James Brown.
