I looked at the 1860 Census for Ohio and he is listed (at least I think it's him) as Louis Etter age 24 a Wagon Maker from Wurtemberg living with Johan Mill from Bavaria.
The next time I saw Louis Etter is the 1900 census and the 1910 census.
Philipp Ludwig Etter married to Magdalene Karcher April 30, 1833 at the Evangelisch in Knittlingen, Neckarkreis, Wuerttemberg.
