The Philips Videopac + G7400 was a video game console released in limited quantities in 1983, and only in Europe; an American release as the Odyssey³ Command Center was planned but never occurred.
The G7400 was the successor to the Philips Videopac G7000, the European counterpart to the American Magnavox Odyssey².
There were plans to release the G7400 in the United States as the Odyssey³ and later as the Odyssey³ Command Center; the system was demonstrated at the 1983 Consumer Electronics Show and some prototypes have been found.

The G7000 does have all the internal moulding for a power switch in the same place as the odyssey2 however, the Philips G7000 logo covers the area.

Two games I owned back in the days, when I had a G7000 as a child: 'Superbee' (left) is a distant 'Nibbles'/ 'Tron' relative - as a bee, you have to collect fruits, which turn into bars after that.
Needless to say that touching these means instant death, and that it gets more difficult, the more fruits you collect (not to mention that game speed increases after a while...).

The Philips G-7000 Videopac Computer was the first console that I got as a kid back in 1981 when I was 11 years old.
One of my favourites games has to be Killer Bees (Videopac 52) it is a variant of robotron and the game play is fast and furious and a true arcade hit for this great games console.
The Philips G7000 was released and sold around the world in various guises and names.

I must have been about six years old when I got the G7000, my first computer, or rather 'console' that I got from my father.
The best game for me on the console was PICK AXE PETE.
Luckily, thanks to Dan Boris who wrote an Emulator for the console, I can play Pick Axe pete, and all other games of the G7000, again :-).

In much of Europe, and other places worldwide, it was known as the Philips G7000 Videopac console, in France: the Phillips C52.
In Brazil it was known as the Odyssey because its predecessor was never released there.

Unlikely, yes, but I know that there have been at least machines with and without joystick plugs; maybe also different video standards and power supplies (depending on where the machine was sold) had their own type number?
Nothing special, except for the fact that there are no connectors to the G7000's board, just two wires (fl & brown, upper left of the PSU) soldered directly to PSU and mainboard.
Nevertheless, the G7000 became a great success in Europe (and later Brazil), so that a successor with improved abilities was released later
