Phokida is one of the topics in focus at Global Oneness.
It is bounded in the east by the Isthmus of Corinth which includes the shipping route of the Corinth Canal, and in the west by the Strait of Rion, which separates the Gulf of Corinth from the outer Gulf of Patras at Cape Drepano, where the narrowest point is crossed by the Rion-Antirio bridge.
Galaxidi has a school, a lyceum, a gymnasuim, a church, a post office, banks and a square (plateia) which is located 50 km from the sea.

The Society operates in Phokida, a rural prefecture 200 kilometres north of Athens, formerly lacking any psychiatric services (covering Thrace, a poor region of north-east Greece, Lamia a town in central Greece, and Athens).
