 The AP Photo Archive
A: The Archive is an electronic library containing AP's current photo and graphics reports and a selection of pictures from our vast library of millions of photographs.
Contemporary domestic photos are scanned at 200 dpi, and the average file size is 500KB to 600KB compressed.
A: To download a picture from the Archive when Netscape is in its normal default preferences (which is usually the case), hold down the Option key on a Mac, or the Shift key on a PC, when you click on Initiate Download.

 Middle East Photograph Archive
The vast majority of these are albumen-based photographs (the principal technique used during these years), supplemented by a few gelatin-based photographs (the precursor of the modern technique), and a few photochrome prints (early twentieth century dyed prints, producing a "color" photographic image).
The archive is particularly strong in photographs of nineteenth century Cairo.
Other invaluable photographs in the archive record the tombs of the Mamluk sultans in conditions approximating their original late medieval contexts.

The UNRWA Photo Archive is located at the Public Information Office, UNRWA Headquarters in Gaza and is open to the public Sunday through Wednesday (except for official holidays) from 10am to 2pm for research purposes, by appointment only.
Prints of photo images displayed on the UNRWA web site may also be ordered directly from the Photo Archive.
There is no charge for photos used by other UN agencies, UN-affiliated non-governmental organizations and United Nations Associations.

Starting in July, TriMet buses and MAX light rail trains will feature 20 unique placards showing historic photos of different modes of transportation dating as far back as the late 1800s.
Each photo's caption identifies the era in which the photo was taken.
Many of the photos were graciously provided by the Oregon Historical Society; the rest come from TriMet archives.

 TWP Nikola Tesla Photo Archive
Early in 1997 the Tesla Wardenclyffe Project purchased historian Leland Anderson's archive of some 750 photos related to Tesla's life and work.
It is believed to be the largest collection of its type in the world outside of the holdings of the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade.
Please note that in addition to being a gallery or exhibit, the TWP photo archive is a sampling of what is available for leasing for commercial and private use.

The 12,500 members of the 4th are part of Task Force Ironhorse scheduled to begin deploying to the Persian Gulf.

 Emilio Segrè Visual Archives
The collection is named in honor of Emilio Segrè, best known for his Nobel Prize-winning work in nuclear and high-energy physics, but also an avid photographer and author of books on the history of modern physics.
The Visual Archives is part of the Niels Bohr Library of the Center for History of Physics at the American Institute of Physics.
It is supported by donations from the Friends of the AIP Center for History of Physics and by an Endowment Fund founded by Rosa Segrè.
