Photometry is the science of measurement of light, in terms of its perceived brightness to the human eye.
Photometry attempts to account for this by weighting the measured power at each wavelength with a factor that represents how sensitive the eye is at that wavelength.
Photometry is based on the eye's photopic response, and so photometric measurements will not accurately indicate the perceived brightness of sources in dim lighting conditions.

The photometry facility includes: a simulated star field with an approximate solar spectrum, fast optics to simulate the space borne telescope, a thinned back-illuminated CCD similar to those to be used on the spacecraft operating at 1 Mpix/sec/amp read rate and shutterless operation.
The optics are used to form an image of the sky.
Rotation by a small amount (up to 7°) is used to demonstrate that the photometry is not affected by either having or not having multiple stars in the same CCD readout columns.

Photometry is the measurement of light, which is defined as electromagnetic radiation which is detectable by the human eye.
Visual photometry uses the eye as a comparison detector, while physical photometry uses either optical radiation detectors constructed to mimic the spectral response of the eye, or spectroradiometry coupled with appropriate calculations to do the eye response weighting.
The only real difference between radiometry and photometry is that radiometry includes the entire optical radiation spectrum, while photometry is limited to the visible spectrum as defined by the response of the eye.

We have identified variations in the photometry calibration data at the less than 1% level that are still not fully understood.
In practical terms this effect means that for a source whose flux changes rapidly on a size comparable with or smaller than the pixel size, the measured countrate, and therefore flux, will depend on where the center of the source lies with respect to the center of the pixel.
Differential photometry for cameras 1 and 2 is better than 2%, in the filters for which measurements are available.
