  Ohio County Project
Ohio history and geography has always been a hot button with me. While I have very little desire to ever see Sacramento, the thought of visiting the county court house in Napoleon intrigues me. This will be a blog of my travels around Ohio visiting the county seats.
In the extreme northeast corner of the county is Greer a community of 45 residents that used to be home to the most hopping baseball field in central Ohio.
Southern Ohio plated four in the first inning and watched as a five-run fourth inning lifted the Cows to an 8-5 victory (box).

Pickaway County is a county located in the state of Ohio.
In the county, the population is spread out with 24.30% under the age of 18, 9.00% from 18 to 24, 32.60% from 25 to 44, 23.40% from 45 to 64, and 10.80% who are 65 years of age or older.
Elections are administered in each county by a four-member board of elections which consists of two Republicans and two Democrats appointed by the Ohio Secretary of State at the recommendation of each county party.

 Pickaway County Circleville, Ohio (Counties)
Pickaway county, whose name is derived from the Native American word meaning "man risen from ashes", is located in central Ohio just south of Columbus with Circleville serving as the county seat.
The county population on July 1, 1999, was 53,431, an increase of 5,183 over the 1990 census.
Natural features in the county include the Scioto River, which bisects the county from north to south; Deer Creek Lake and State Park in the southwestern section and Hargus Lake and A.W. Marion State Park to the east of the county seat.

 Henry Melchior Muhlenberg
He had been in 1774 chairman of the committee of safety of his county, a member of the house of burgesses, and in 1776 he was a delegate to the State convention.
On returning to civil pursuits he was at once elected a member of the Pennsylvania council, was in 1785 chosen vice-president of that state, with Benjamin Franklin as president, and served as presidential elector in 1797.
After serving as the private secretary of Governor Joseph Hiester, of Pennsylvania, in 1820-'3, he removed to Pickaway county, Ohio, where he was chosen a member of the legislature.

 Bowers Landfill Case Study, Superfund Redevelopment Program, US EPA
The Ohio EPA hauled away the debris and used clean clay from elsewhere on the site to build a cap over the landfill.
Using the seven-acre pit the Ohio EPA created when it dug up the clay for the landfill cap, EPA graded it for waterways and retention ponds, and seeded the area to promote plant growth.
The now picturesque landscape at the former landfill is a source of pride for the community, and the seven-acre wetlands is contributing to the 400,000 acres of land that Ohio hopes to restore to wetlands by 2010.
