Top 10 Beasts and Dragons: How Reality Made Myth
They are animal mosaics, possessing the body of a snake, the scales of a fish, the talons of an eagle, the antlers of a stag, and the face of a gilin—another mythical creature that resembles a deer but whose body is wreathed in flames.
Despite their differences, many of the mythical dragons found throughout the world all began as vague serpentine ideas modeled after real creatures, beginning with a snake or some other fearsome reptile.
Dragons are awe-inspiring patchwork creatures found in the myths and legends of cultures all around the world.

Pickled dragon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In December 2003, David Hart claimed to have found a pickled dragon or, more precisely, what appeared to be the foetus of a winged reptile-type creature preserved in a large jar of formaldehyde in his garage in Oxfordshire, England.
The pair had told the press that the dragon was found with documents suggesting it had been offered to the Natural History Museum in the late nineteenth century by German scientists.
In reality the dragon was made by the model makers behind the BBC TV series Walking with Dinosaurs and the jar was made by a specialist glass blowing studio.

Look What I Found In My Brain!: pickled garlic
Pickled garlic, as you might guess, is garlic that's been preserved in vinegar and pickling spices (such as pepper, salt, thyme, etc.) It comes as whole cloves in small (about 5 ounces) tall jars, rather like the sort that cocktail onions come in.
Pickled garlic cloves are great as a standalone snack item, particularly if you've been consuming the recommended 1-2 cloves of garlic a day for its health properties.
The only downside to pickled garlic is that it's a bit of a specialty gourmet item (at least in the States), and thus will be a bit hard to find and a bit expensive ($4-$5 US, with some as high as $8 a jar).
