As a session singer, he treated the records as his calling card and disagrees with any suggestion that they were worthless.
Pickwick pulled the plug in late 1979, although they briefly revived the idea in 1985 for Volume 92, a singular failure.

According to Reed, the writers were locked in an office and told to write “10 car songs, 10 California songs” – whatever trend Pickwick was tying to cash in on - the songwriters had to fill up the LP as quickly as possible.

This set is noted as "Electronically enhanced for stereo effect", which usually meant that one channel of the stereo had a high bass, while the other side had a high treble.
This was a common practice in the 1960's through the 1980's to make mono recordings sound more "stereo".
All recordings are from Judy's Capitol studio albums, except "When You're Smiling" which is from the live Carnegie Hall album.

Little Darlin's hard mid-1960s country is truly renegade, especially since it was recorded when Nashville was steeped in the lush strings and fancy arrangements of the countrypolitian movement.

 Spooky Sounds
As far as I'm concerned, Peter Pan Records' Ghostly Sounds LP is the mother of all spooky sounds albums.
These "spooky sounds" records (For lack of a better name) are, like other, more traditional sound effects albums and tapes, composed of a variety of horrific noises, usually tied together by narration.

 Pickwick Records
Pickwick International owned a slew of budget labels, including Design Records, Bravo, Sears, International Award, Hurrah, and Grand Prix.
Upon closer inspection, part of the reason all three had such a large catalog was that Pickwick was often issuing the exact same album on the different labels, but with different covers and attributed to different artists!
Of course, if the artists, like Pete Fountain were well known, the names were consistent from label to label, but for those generic bands, orchestras, and singers, they may be Norman Roye today and Merlin tomorrow.

Soon, the band found itself the showpiece act on fledgling indie label Ready Records in Toronto and a 5-song EP called 'Talk's Cheap' led to some notoriety on cutting edge Toronto radio like CFNY-FM.

VH1.com : The Velvet Underground : Biography - Urge Music Downloads
Reed and Cale were both interested in fusing the avant-garde with rock & roll, and had found the ideal partners for making the vision (a very radical one for the mid-'60s) work; their synergy would be the crucial axis of the Velvet Underground's early work.
The volume and violence had nearly vanished; the record featured far more conventional rock arrangements that were sometimes so restrained it seems as though they were making an almost deliberate attempt to avoid waking the neighbors.
Nevertheless, they recorded about an album's worth of additional material for the label after the third LP, although it remains unclear whether this was intended for a fourth album or not.

 What is Christian in Music?
The success of Christian artists with both religious and crossover hits in the recording industry highlights issues of musical style and lyrics.
Pastors and priests, families and churches struggle to discern the hazy demarcation between unsuitable secular music and music that is appropriate for private listening or for church services.
The essence of the Christian experience resides not with the musical object (a song, a recording, a rhythmic pattern, an instrument, etc.) or cuisine, but rather with our interaction with and our attitudes towards music or cuisine.

 Billboard.com - Biography - John Cale
There is always a tension between the experimental and the accessible in Cale's solo recordings, meaning that he usually finds himself (not unwillingly) caught between the cracks: too weird for commercial success, and yet not really weird or daring enough to place him among the top rank of rock's innovators.
There were also other albums with Nico, and records with Squeeze, Sham 69, and others; for a couple years in the early '70s, he was even a staff producer at Warners, handling unlikely clients like Jennifer Warnes.
Well-received both on record and in performance, it may have been one of the factors that finally caused the pair to bury the hatchet and re-form the Velvet Underground for a 1993 live European tour (and live album).
