In the Dorset 1841 census one Joseph, aged c35, was listed as a farmer of Bexington Farm Abbotsbury - probably the second man. He was at Piddlehinton in the 1851 census, and was listed as Joseph H Kellaway in the 1861 census, at New Barn Abbotsbury, both as a Dairyman.
On another matter, I saw reference in last month's newsletter to only royalty, or important families, being christened with a second name before the 1800s.
The sad eldest daughter of Mr James and Lucy Kellaway of Piddlehinton was christened Purdon Crewe Kellaway
