The only downside was that because of the clouds we couldn't see Sri Lanka's highest mountain (Pidurutalagala 2524 m), which rises above N-E. For the very same reason we also couldn't see the 880 meter drop at the World's End while visiting the Horton Plains.
That, however, did not spoil our happy mood.
