Pierre Laporte (February 25, 1921 - October 1970), was a Canadian politician who was assassinated by members of the terrorist group, the Front de Libération du Québec (Quebec Liberation Front).
Laporte was a member of the Quebec Liberal Party, and considered to be a leading member of the party's left wing.
Pierre Laporte is interred in the Cimetière Notre-Dame-des-Neiges in Montreal, Quebec.

After he completed his studies, he became a journalist for Le Devoir and he remained the parliamentary correspondent for the newspaper between 1946 and 1961.
