		Information from ancient sources speak for the area of Kliton and mainly for the lake “Pikrolimni”, where sulphur clay was gushing out, at the area where the “bicarbonate nitre” was drawn out.
		In combination with descriptions of younger travelers we are leaded to the identification of this lake with Pikrolimni of today and to the search of Kliton in Kristonia and concretely at the “bank” of Xylokeratia, in a small distance from Morrylos.

		Offices, a landing corridor and cover places for planes have been constructed near Nea Kavala village so now the prefecture of Kilkis can be considered as having an airport for small - light aeroplanes and the air-sports.
		The lake Pikrolimni and its therapeutic clay are exploited through the construction of a hostelry and a clay-therapeutic centre.
		A historic, well preserved school has been renovated in order to house the folk art museum of Kilkis, where the folk life of the area will be displayed and folklore material will be exhibited.

	Biking From Thessaloniki, Greece to Bulgaria
		One afternoon in Thessaloniki I said goodbye to Varvara and Dimitris and headed with the stifling June heat up to OreoKastro, stopping on the way to swim at a pool bar for five Euros.
		Then on trhough Neohoruda, Pentalofos, Nea Filedephia and ending in Pikrolimni Lake.
		She gave me a very nice room and they fed me as a guest: bless their souls.
