 Claudia's Pilot Episode Comments
The purpose of a pilot episode is to introduce the main characters and give the viewers an idea of what the show is about which the pilot episode does quite well.
The pilot episode had a good story of a High School class who have been dying mysteriously and the authorities covering up what is really happening to these students.
This is probably because it was the pilot episode and Duchovny didn't quite have the character right so he seemed to overplay that bit in order to dramatize the importance of the situation.

PYL Board Configurations: The Pilot Episode
While the aired episodes certainly had slides that occasionaly "stuck" from one rotation into the next, the pilot suffered a slightly different, but more common phenomenon: slides that faded into the same value, something that didn't happen on the aired episodes.
Very clearly, the board ran much slower in the pilot: both the speed of the border light and the amount of time it took between board shuffles.
It's believed that the projectors used on the aired episodes could hold multiple slides, which can be seen after a prize is hit: a new prize slide takes its place.

Technically, there's no "previously on" segment for the first episode of Blade: The Series, but in case you don't know your action movies or aren't familiar with the oeuvre of Wesley Snipes, perhaps a little background is in order.
So, to answer the important premiere episode questions - Yes, Blade is just as cool on TV as he is in the movies.
The action in the pilot would probably be a hard PG-13, but with the dark tone - there's very little levity in Detroit - the MPAA might slap this show with an R, which is, of course, what us bloodthirsty creatures want out of a show called Blade.

Tuned In: 'Agency' scraps pilot on terrorism
In June, when I first watched the pilot episode of the CBS drama "The Agency," it struck me as an OK series, but no match for NBC's "ER" in the Thursday night battle for ratings.
The pilot did a good job of introducing these characters and their duties, particularly Jackson Haisley (Will Patton), a widowed intelligence officer who longs for an overseas posting.
CBS will re-edit tonight's episode to help introduce the characters, but some elements of the series, its characters and any sense of continuity may remain as mysterious as the storied agency itself.

Lone Gunmen, The - Fox announces set, Pilot episode included!
Even though Fox's announcement mysteriously cuts off the episode list at the 9th installment, on the flip side of the second disc, we've got confirmation from the studio that all 13 episodes of the regular series will be included on this set, including the pilot episode.
That pilot's inclusion has worried fans, as it has been hard to find on-air in the wake of the tragedy of 9/11, seeing as how one element of the pilot's story included an airplane-based threat to the World Trade Center.
We would warn anyone who might find this upsetting, that perhaps the pilot episode is best left unwatched, if sensitivity to those events is an issue.
