Cabuay said the guerrillas were arrested on the strength of a warrant of arrest issued by the Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro Regional Trial Court for Rejano's alleged involvement in the series of kidnappings in Oriental Mindoro.
Cabuay said that based on the investigation conducted by members of the Army's 204th Infantry Brigade and the Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) police, the guerrillas were behind the kidnapping of two Army soldiers in barangay Campamento, Pola, Oriental Mindoro on April 11 this year.
