		Pink Gin is a cocktail made fashionable in the United Kingdom in the mid-19th century, consisting of jenever and a dash of 'pink' (Angostura bitters, a dark red extract of gentian and spices, known from the 1820s at Angostura in Venezuela but now made in Trinidad and Tobago).
		Pour a couple measures of gin in the glass, add water as desired and serve.

		Not to be confused with a pink gin, which is just gin and bitters, a gin and pink is basically a variation on my old favorite, the gin and tonic.
		I like my gin drinks strong, so I use at least 3 or 4 ounces of gin, but those less accustomed to the taste of gin may want to use only 2 ounces, which would be the more typical recipe.
