		Ricardo Nobleza, 9th Infantry Division commanding general, said that combined intelligence elements of the 9th Infantry Division and the 65IB on monitoring patrol of extortion activities of the communist terrorist, encountered a squad of NPA rebels around 8:45 a.m.
		The encounter resulted in a brief fire fight and the death of the NPA commander, whom Orduña identified as Alex Losabia alias Ka Alfie, the leader of the NPA liquidation squad operating in the area.
